I get it… We asked you to follow PCH on Instagram in an earlier post, but signing up and using Instagram can be a bit daunting. Well no worries, dear reader! I’m here to guide you with lots of… you guessed it… PICTURES! I promise you, Instagram makes it super easy for anyone to sign up.
So, where to get started? The first step is to download and open Instagram. You’ll see this pop up (Look Below!) on your screen. Not bad, right? If you want to log in with Facebook, simply tap that button. Or if don’t have Facebook (we know there are still some of you left out there!), tap “Sign Up with Phone or Email”.
I told you it was easy! And this next step, you can do in your sleep. Just enter your email where it says “Email” and hit “Next”. If you want to use a phone number, hit “Sign up with your phone number instead”.
Are you ready? Here comes the hardest part – creating a username and a password. That’s right! Now’s the time to enter your name, along with a username that others on Instagram will see for you once your account is up. And don’t forget to create a Password you won’t forget and no one will guess!
Not bad, right? Good, because you’re almost done! After you hit “next” and upload a profile picture, your account will be set. There you go! You did it! Now tap the magnifying glass (circled in red below) to search for other accounts.
In the search bar on top, look up “pchofficial”. That’s it! That’s our account (the one below with the blue checkmark next to it). That blue check means our account is verified.
This is THE most important part! Hit the “FOLLOW” button (you’ll see it circled below). Then every time you open Instagram, you’ll be able to see our posts.
Now what’s the deal with all those icons (they’re circled below)? You should see a heart, a thought bubble, and an arrow. If you like the Instagram post, tap on the heart. If you want to leave a comment, tap on the thought bubble. If you want to send a direct message to someone you follow, tap on the arrow and search their username.
